Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy.

STEM CELL THERAPY.

A powerful injury healer and pain reliever.

For more than a decade, Regenerative Medicine including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and stem cells, have been used by medical professionals to reduce pain, strengthen joints and repair ligaments and tendons which may be a way for people to avoid more serious treatment, such as surgery. Studies show that PRP therapy works to accelerate and direct healing and has shown promise for nerve regeneration, which involves regrowth of injured axons, the restoration of synaptic connections and the recovery of some physiological functions. Researchers have found that PRP may be effective for spinal cord injuries.

PRP is used for a wide range of musculoskeletal problems as it enhances the body’s natural ability to heal itself and is used to improve healing and shorten recovery time from acute and chronic soft tissue injuries. Usually 1-5 injections are given, spread out over the course of treatment.

Stem cells may be used to replace, repair, reprogram or renew your diseased cells. Adult stem cells are able to grow and develop into many different types of cells in your body to stimulate healing and repair of injured or diseased tissue. This is usually provided by injection to treat joint, tendon or nerve injuries.

We use the Magellan System, a one source biologic concentrator and delivery system, which collects and concentrates a patient’s own platelets or stem cells from a single blood draw. The Magellan technology, an efficient and easy to use system, allows us to combine the power of the body’s own healing mechanisms with the advancements in tissue repair.

These treatments can be performed in an office or a surgical setting.
